New FRPA Member Experience

Welcome to your new member portal! We have a brand new feel and updated technology in an effort to better serve all our members. We hope that you'll enjoy it as much as we do.

These changes will go live on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

To get started you will log into the site like you normally do - using the blue 'Sign In' button in the top right corner of frpa.org. Instead of the next step logging you into our old site, Netforum, you will go to our new database called Novi AMS. Depending on whether or not you have an account on file (if you are a current member, you should have an account so let us know if your email address is not recognized rather than proceeding) you will be prompted to set up your new user account.

Your new membership experience is housed in the Member Compass. In this space you will be able to manage your account, make payments, register for classes and events, keep your profile up to date, access eConnect, print receipts, and use resources available to FRPA Members.

If you are in the database, you will be instructed on how to set your password. You will receive a confirmation email that you will need to access to confirm your account. From there you will navigate to the Member Compass page by clicking on your name at the top left. This is your new hub for your FRPA account. The first thing you should go is click on the “Profile” tab on the left hand menu.

If you are not in the database, you will be prompted to continue setting up your account. You too will receive a confirmation email that you will need to access before moving forward.

Whichever way you get to the point where you are filling in your information, most of the information is straight forward as you go along. When you get to “Organization” begin searching for your Organization name by typing in the name of your city, county, or business. Do not start with "City of..." or "County of...".  If you do not see your organization, contact the FRPA Executive Office.

There is an option for multiple addresses and we have described the need for each of these below. These can all be different or they can be the same. We realize that you may want your FRPA Journal shipped to your house but have your work address as your membership directory listing AND have a central billing address; this is why we have included so many options for you.

--BILLING ADDRESS: This address will be reflected on any invoices generated by FRPA. This address may also correlate with any credit card payments.

--SHIPPING ADDRESS: This address will be used to send physical mail items such as the FRPA Journal or annual Membership Directory.

--WORK ADDRESS: This should be the address that is acceptable for printing in the Membership Directory or the online Membership Directory.

Demographics

You will notice a section in your profile for demographics. Here we ask a few questions to help us gather information that may be needed for events (such as preferred pronouns or dietary needs) and targeted marketing efforts. Some of these demographics sections will also inform us as to whether FRPA is reaching the membership in the ways that are needed. These will not be on your profile in eConnect.

AGENCY DIRECTORS AND COMPANY PRIMARY CONTACTS:
Please fill out the form to the right to let us know who on your staff should be assigned specific roles.
With this new system, we have the ability to have you assign the following roles:

Primary Contact:
This is the Agency Director or Company Primary Contact and is assigned by FRPA only.

Billing Contact:
One allowed.
The Billing Contact will receive emailed transactions for the company via email. They will also be able to view and pay transactions billed to the organization and agency or company staff when they are logged in to their Member Compass.

Management Access:
Two allowed.
Those with management access can register people under your agency for new memberships, register multiple people for events and Conference, and manage the members under the Agency/Company's membership. When a user creates a new account under an agency or company, a notification email will automatically be sent to the person/people with Management Access on the company's record, which includes the Primary and Billing Contacts.

More information, including trainings, will be forthcoming for those with management access.

Two Factor Authentication

More and more sites have the ability to set up Two Factor Authentication. This extra step provides one more buffer from someone hacking into your account. Novi allows us the option of setting this up – you decide. You can use a text message set up or download an authenticator app to verify your account. While slightly cumbersome, this extra layer of security can sometimes make all the difference. We suggest setting up one way of second verification.

Your New Password

You will have to set a new password for the new site. The parameters are outlined below:

 At least 8 characters
 At least 1 uppercase letter
 At least 1 number
 At least 1 special character
