Host an FRPA Educational Event

HOST A MEETING OR WORKSHOP
FRPA depends on the hospitality of agencies throughout the state to help host educational opportunities for park and recreation professionals. Some of the main amenities we are looking for include:

Space for up to 100 people to gather at once

Breakout rooms for classes.

ADA accessible facilities

Unique and new features to allow other professionals a chance to experience something different

We are also always looking for new places to host the Park Management Institute and the Agency Summit. Both of these events are held annually in different locations around the state.

Park Management Institute is generally held early in the year (Jan-March) and features programming geared towards the parks, facilities, natural resources, and environmental stewardship side of the field. Hosts help plan, along with other agencies in the area. If interested in hosting, contact charla@frpa.org.

The Agency Summit hosts park and recreation department directors and assistant directors for two days (generally in April) of learning and connecting. This annual event occasionally features new and innovative facility or public space tours and topics relevant to administrators of the department.
