Florida Together

We hope that this note finds you safe and well. Once again, we are facing major storm recovery in multiple areas throughout our state, as a result of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
During this time FRPA would like to help park and recreation professionals who have been directly and personally affected by the hurricanes. We have heard particular stories from a few Directors. Some professionals have had catastrophic damage and, in a few cases, have lost their entire homes in Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Milton.
If you feel moved to help directly provide funds to someone who may need to rebuild or repair their home in the wake of the storm, please give through the link below. We will collect the funds and they will be distributed based on need. 100% of funds collected will be used to assist those in need.

How you can help

    • Make a monetary donation: Cash donation which will be distributed based upon need. Donations will be accepted by the FRPA Foundation (Florida registered 501c(3)) and distributed to those in need.
    • Fill the need form out for a fellow park and recreation professional in need.
We believe that if Florida sticks together, we can get through this, rebuild, and be stronger than ever. Your consideration to help is greatly appreciated and we hope that if you need help, you will let us know. This fund is intended to provide for those in need who are employed by a park and recreation agency in the state of Florida.
If you are a commercial entity and would like to be connected with an agency who may need help rebuilding in the future, please email charla@frpa.org. FRPA will connect agencies in need with our commercial partners as needed.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and consideration.
