I look forward to the challenges of the position of the Vice President of Professional Development. Our membership continually scores educational opportunities as the highest priority for the association to provide. That is why the Professional Development Committee will strive to again bring quality and innovative programming for all interest groups on both the region and state levels.
Purpose
The focus of the Professional Development branch of FRPA is to maintain a high level of professional education opportunities for park, recreation and leisure service agencies across the state. This is accomplished in many ways: providing statewide continuing education opportunities, promoting the National Certification Plan, creating incentives for individuals to become certified and maintain certification as well as promoting and appreciating the diverse populations within the field.
