FRPA Regions
Central Region
The Central Region of FRPA is comprised of Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Orange, Sumter, Lake, Volusia, Seminole, Osceola, Brevard, Polk, Hillsborough, Pinellas and Indian River Counties.
Welcome to the Central Region. This past year and the coming year we will continue to feel a few growing pains as we continue through this new organizational structure. It has been interesting and challenging to work with such a broader scope in area, but I have received some positive feedbacks on what has been happening. We had a very successful "first meeting", and "first mini conference" at Haines City this past November. This coming year we have moved our mini conference to March. Please be looking for information on that. Our Recreation and Parks Day with the Devil Rays was successful as well as the concession at Bay Hill, and our golf tournament. We were able to award 10 scholarships for the 2005 FRPA Conference.
We continue to need people to be involved at the board level and at program meetings. An on-going task each year is to find suitable facilities for program meetings. If you would like to showcase your facility at a future program meeting or are interested in being involved at the region level please contact me, or Natalie Benton, your Director Elect.
It is really important that the members of our region be involved. We are always looking for people to help at program meetings. We need topics for these meetings. We urge you to forward your topics or possible speakers on to our Program Chair, Sandy Clayton. And above else….attend your region meetings. We have another good year of educational topics planned….please take advantage of them.
