2005 Awards Applications
The Florida Recreation and Park Association State Awards Program is designed to recognize and celebrate the individuals and organizations that contribute to the success and value of parks and recreation in the State of Florida.
Designed to bring attention to its recipients, the awards program highlights the successes of Association members, as well as those partners working to achieve shared goals. The sharing of new and creative programs is yet another benefit of involvement in the awards programs.
Excellence in parks and recreation is visible in many places. We encourage you to take notice of the parks and recreation programs, professionals and partners that deserve recognition. Then, take action by nomination them for awards.

Achievement Award
FRPA's Achievement Award recognizes special or unusual service to the Association and the parks, recreation and leisure services profession.
Agency of Excellence Award
FRPA's Agency Excellence Award is to recognize and honor the state's most outstanding Community Park, Recreation and/or Leisure Service agencies for excellence in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services management.
Corporate Support Award
FRPA's Corporate Service Award is presented to the Corporation/Foundation/Business entity which has made a significant and consistent contributionto the field.
Excellence in Youth Sports Award
FRPA's Excellence in Youth Sports award recognizes an Agency which offers three or more types of youth sports programs, that educates their administrators, volunteer coaches, game officials and parents. The agency must also demonstrate that it embraces a child-centered recreational sports philosophy that is aimed at providing positive and safe experiences for all youth.
Fellow Award
FRPA's Fellow Award recognizes continued service to the Association and the parks, recreation and leisure services profession once on has recieved the FRPA Achievement Award.
Lifetime Award
FRPA's Lifetime Award is designed to recognize a retired professional and honor "lifetime" service to the parks, recreation and leisure services profession and the Association.
Outstanding Student Award
FRPA's Outstanding Student Award is presented to the parks, recreation or leisure services student who has exhibited innovative leadership and creativity.
Voluntary Service Award
FRPA's Voluntary Service Award recognizes citizens or organizations whose contributions have improved the quality and quantity leisure opportunities.
Distinguished Young Professional Award
FRPA's Distinguished Young Professional Award honors a professional that has been working in the parks, recreation or leisure services field for less than five years.
Media Excellence Award
FRPA's Media Excellence Award is presented to the individual or agency who has significantly contributed to the public's increased awareness and recognition of public parks, recreation and leisure services programs.
Excellence in Research Award
FRPA's Excellence In Research Award recognizes an individual or group whose contributions to research have significantly advanced the cause of the parks, recreation and leisure services movement.
