Whether you have input data based on a single park, a region, or your entire park system, fashioning a message around your presentation is important. Presentations include anything that accompanies the report that you generated, whether in person or in writing.Additionally, you will want to equip yourself with information to use in case you need to justify your outputs. State of Afterschool and Summer Learning in Florida
Presented by the Florida Afterschool Network, this resource offers a plethora of information relating to the time children spend in afterschool or out of school time activities. The maps available show afterschool sites that are available throughout the state and interactions with the Department of Juvenile Justice activity and Department of Children and Family Services.
How you can use these resources:
Make the connections where DOJJ and DCF activity is higher, there are possibly less site offering afterschool care. Find your local information to report on.
Your Local Police or Sheriff's Office
Make a contact within your local law enforcement office and talk with them about how the neighborhood that your community center or park would be different (for better or worse) than it is with your center/park there. Find out if there is historical data to show any drops in criminal activity that line up with a new center, feature, or program.
Listen to Your Participants
Your participants have unique stories about your park or facility. Ask for these, seek them out, and write them down.

These programs can help to lower drowning cases, which is one of leading causes of death for children ages one through four.
